In a week we were initially on the islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phanghan and then took the train to Bangkok for a few days

General Information
Very beautiful island with some dream beaches. We arrived by bus and ferry from Surat Thani Airport, as the flights there are much cheaper than directly to the island, but the last connection to the islands is around 4:00 pm. There is always a lot going on on the island. Perfect for people who always want to party or who want to spend a night or two with a Thai woman. Since it was a bit too stressful for us, we moved on the next day.

From Bang Rak Beach there is a ferry to Koh Phanghan every two hours
General Information
Very nice island with many beaches. Perfect for young people and backpackers. The Full Moon Party on Haad Rin Beach is also known there.

Nice hostel with a pool. Especially for young people. Mainly English.

Drive around the island by scooter
The easiest way is to rent a scooter to see all the beaches on the island. That costs about 5 €. If you have an accident that scratches the whole scooter, it shouldn't cost more than 30 €.

We were able to book the train with bus and ferry transfer to Surat Thani train station in the hostel. The train was on time and it was a relaxing night drive to Bangkok

Skyscraper known from the hangover movie. Nice view but very expensive drinks.

One of the largest shopping malls in Asia with tons of counterfeit items.
