DESCRIPTION

This individual trip is the perfect combination of sightseeing and a beach vacation. The starting point is the dazzling metropolis of Bangkok, which is part of every vacation in Thailand. After a few exciting days in the big city, we continue to Koh Phangan and Koh Tao: two dreamy islands that have a lot to offer. A vacation that you will not soon forget!

HIGHLIGHTS

ITINERARY

  • General Information

As one of the largest metropolises in Asia, Bangkok has numerous sights, shopping opportunities, restaurants and bars. I can highly recommend Uber for getting around the city - we've only had positive experiences. The Skytrain does not always drive optimally to all sights, Tuk Tuks are the tourist trap and with taxis you should negotiate the price well in advance. In addition, many sights in the center can be easily reached by water taxi. Take the boats with the orange (!) Flag. Here the journey costs only 14 baht. I don't want to go into the numerous cheap food options here, but our tip: Dare to eat at one of the many street stalls or in the garage restaurant around the corner;)

    Accommodation

Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, Thung Wat Don, Sathon, Bangkok

A really great hotel with the best breakfast buffet of my life and an infinity pool with a great view of the city. Well worth the money!

SUMMARY

These two weeks were packed with great excursions to various cultural sights and beautiful beaches. For us it was the perfect mix of sightseeing in the big city and beach vacation on beautiful islands. We saw and experienced so much even though we were only on the road for 2 weeks. You can certainly stay much longer at the individual stations, but even if you only have two weeks available, a trip to Thailand is definitely worth it!
